Hi, my name is Cate Thielhorn, and I am a sophomore at Memorial High School. I am beyond honored to be selected to be a Student Visionaries of the Year 2024 candidate! Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Is a philanthropic leadership development program for high school students. The 7-week challenge is to raise as much money as possible in honor of our Honored Heroes. The student who has raised the most money by the end of the 7 week period is awarded the title of "Student Visionary of the Year" 

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission, I have built a team of dedicated and determined high school students to help with this amazing fundraiser to Strike Out Cancer!! but we need your help!

 Why Student Visionaries: I decided to Participate in Student Visionaries because I feel that it is a big opportunity to not only learn how to become a leader but also help fight for all these families and patients who have been affected by this terrible disease. During this campaign, I want to honor my family members who have struggled with cancer and do everything in my power to honor these patients and survivors. I wanted to get involved in LLS not only for the leadership but to also build a relationship with others and become an advocate for patients and survivors. I am excited for my team to grow and learn together and I truly believe that we can Strike Out Cancer!!
